You might have heard of what the clitoris is. But how much do you really know about it? Well here are a few things that you'd probably not known, and as they say, knowing does no harm. So scroll down and soak in some knowledge!

The clitoris is the only human organ that exists for pleasure, and only pleasure!
They Get Hard
It's true. The clitoris is made up of erectile tissue that becomes erect during sexual stimulation and relaxed after orgasm.
Pandas have it too!
In fact, all female mammals have it!
It's just the tip of the iceberg!
Most (about three-fourths) of the clitoris is hidden from sight.
It's much larger than you thought!
On average, the female sex organ is 3.5 to 5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.
Science has lost and found it several times!
The clitoris has been "discovered" and then "lost" for centuries. In 1559, Italian anatomist Realdo Colombo claimed to have discovered the clitoris. It was then "rediscovered" by Kinsey in the 1950s and Masters and Johnson in the 1960s.
And yet, their complete anatomy was not revealed until the late 90s.
They have multiple erogenous zones!
And probably much to your surprise, pornography gets it all wrong!
The majority of pornography portrays clitoral action as only a means of foreplay or an afterthought, rather than the primary way to achieve female orgasm and an integral part of intercourse.
And here's a myth buster: women do not take longer to orgasm than men!
